Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is the management of OIWCO any employee of the BWC/IC, in any Department of the BWC/IC, Lawyers, Doctors or any other type of Professional?
A: NO! We are injured workers just like you. We had no where to turn for help and know that others feel the same way. As such, we decided that Ohio’s injured workers should have a gathering place wherein they can share information to help themselves and others. Therefore, the OIWCO website was created in an effort to keep Ohio’s injured workers abreast of the ever evolving changes in the BWC/IC and the always changing tactics that Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) utilize to stifle the injured worker’s right to benefits.
Q: What is the opinion of OIWCO in relationship to the BWC/IC?
A: We feel there is a MAJOR NEED for change within these systems and are working diligently towards the FULL OVERHAUL of the system by holding people accountable for not following the Ohio Revised and Administrative Codes, the Bureau's and Industrial Commission's Policies and Procedures not to mention the Standards of Ethics for which employees within the Bureau and Industrial Commission are supposed to adhere to. The uploading and downloading of shared data regarding any one particular individual stakeholder (participant) of the current Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation/Industrial Commission, which has been, for so long plagued with unaccountability, will now hold these individuals accountable for their irresponsible actions. From this point onward, there will be a Public Record of Hearing Officers, BWC Administrative Personnel, Claims Service Specialists, the Customer Service Team, DEP Panel Division, Constituent Affairs Personnel, Industrial Commission members and Stakeholders, Managed Care Organizations, Nurse Case Managers and their Directors, Vocational Rehabilitation Case Managers/their respective companies and Stakeholders, Senators, State Representatives, Congressman, Attorney General, Inspector General, Attorneys, Doctors, Permanent Partial Disability Evaluators, Independent Medical Examiners and File Review Physicians and the Governing Members and Stakeholders of the following organizations: State of Ohio Psychology Board, State of Ohio Medical Board, State of Ohio Chiropractic Board, the Ohio State Chiropractic Association (OSCA). Audiovideo capture, transcripts, documentation, statistical data or otherwise will be available for Ohio’s injured workers and their attorneys to access and use in their defense in the Court of Common Pleas or any such legal setting. Now is the time for those who have been screwing the Ohio injured worker, to start running. We've given them a six (6) month head start. Here we come.
Q: Will OIWCO give out any of my personal information to anyone?
A: NO! OIWCO is not 411 for personal information. However, if an injured worker decides to give out their own information, that is of their call and OIWCO can not be held accountable for this.
Q: Does OIWCO support any Political or Religious parties?
A: NO! OIWCO does NOT and WILL NOT support any Political Party or Religious Denominations. OIWCO may have valuable information on Political; Party Candidates and may reveal it as such becomes available. In doing so, we urge the readers and posters in the forum to make an informed decision regarding the Candidate you may so choose.
